As mentioned in the previous lines this essay will be about endosymbiosis and other theories on the evolution of the eukaryotic cell. To address these topics I will talk about evidence that support and go against each hypothesis and highlight why I believe that the endosymbiotic model is the theory that most likely happened 1.5 billion years ago.
